Quickbooks 2008
This release is a
total product rewrite with an emphasis on stability and scaliability. The user
interface is completely revamped and has a lot of intuitive new features. For
the first time Intuit have customised their VAT forms for the Irish taxatation
system. It shows their commitment to the Irish market - and certainly give
Sage a run for their money. Anyone looking for an accounts package would
should check it out.
Quickbooks Premier 2008
Multi-company multi-user ready accounts package with financial planning tools, the ability to record memorised (recurring and reversing) journals as remote access as well as the comfort of password protected closing dates and ability to restrict/define user access
permission. Version
2008 is NOT multi-currency enabled.
If you require multi-currency then you'll need v2006 also available from
AxonWare.
Quickbooks Professional 2008
Any SMB needs the fully fledged features the Professional edition. A quality product that allows for professional accounting and reporting. Easy to learn and
use. Once again it's not multi-currency enabled.
